The Intellectual Property Enforcement workshop was held on 30th March 2021 at Kyoto Training Room, Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED).
It was co-organised by the Brunei Intellectual Property Office (BruIPO) and the Royal Customs and Excise Department, with the objective to discuss on the procedures relating to Intellectual Property enforcement amongst respective government agencies.
The opening ceremony of the workshop was attended by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Di-Raja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa, the Honourable Attorney General who is also the Registrar of Trade Marks, Patents and Industrial Designs. Also present was the Acting Controller of RCED, Awg Haji Muhsin bin Haji Ahmad.
Among the invited speakers were representatives from the Attorney General's Chamber; Criminal Investigation Department of Royal Brunei Police Force; United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO); National Trading Standard of United Kingdom; HM Revenue & Customs, United Kingdom; UK Private Investigators dan Hewlett-Packard Development Company (HP).
Around 30 participants had attended the workshop comprising of representatives from Attorney General's Chamber, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Department of Agricultural and Agrifood, Ministry of Health, Internal Security Department and Criminal Investigation Department under the Royal Brunei Police Force.
