The Translation Unit is headed by Awg Raub bin Haji Samat, the Chief Translator/ Simultaneous Interpreter. Assisting him are 5 other senior translators, Dayang Hajah Siti Raudzah binti Dato Paduka Haji Noordin, Dayang Siti Dainah binti Haji Awang Damit, Dayang Lai Siew Hwa, Dayang Hajah Harni binti Haji Asar and Dayang Hajah Norrina binti Pehin Dato Paduka Haji Abd Razak.

The role of this Unit is to translate legislation, subsidiary legislation and all correspondence including court documents into the Malay language and vice versa.

The Unit works closely with the Information and Communication Technology Unit, BRULAW Unit and the Legislative Drafting Division.
