The Administration and Finance Section of the Attorney General’s Chamber which is headed by Pengiran Kamis bin Pengiran Metamin, Acting Senior Administrative Officer. He is assisted by Special Duties Officer Grade II, Assistant Administrator, Assistant Executive Officer Grade II, Office Supervisors and 7 clerks. The main function of this Section is generally to manage and administer the administration and finance affairs. This section is divided into 7 units which are as follows:- 1. Administration Unit 2. Finance Unit 3. Development and Communication Unit 4. Information Technology and Publication of Laws Unit 5. Translation Unit 6. Law Library Unit 7. Archive Unit
Administration Unit is responsible in the processing of Application of Leave; Employment of Daily Paid; Application of Education Allowance; Conformation of posts; Works Performance Appraisal; Renewal/Continuation of Services of Contract; Appointment of Open Vote; Application of Ownership of Land; Application of Housing for Government Officers/Staff under the control of the Public Services Department; Distribution of Files; Appointment of Daily Paid Officers to Permanent Posts. Finance Unit is responsible in the Processing of Annual Increment and Payment of salary; Certificate of Efficiency Bar; Payment of Acting/Performing Duties Allowance; Issuing of Purchase Order; Application of Loan for the Purchase of Vehicles; Application of Housing loan; Payment of Salaries and Allowances of newly officers/staff reporting on duty; Application and Payment of House to Office Allowance; Application of Posts Warrant; To Bring In Experts/Witnesses from abroad; Preparation of Proposal of Annually Estimates Votes under Other Votes; Charges Annually Recurrent and Other Special Expenditure; Application of Virement and Supplementary Votes. Development and Communication Unit is to ensure the efficiency of development and development of human resources development. This Unit is responsible in the preparation of vehicles for the Experts/Witness who are brought in from abroad; Processing of Letters to Attend Meetings/Conferences/Courses/Workshops abroad for Short Term; Processing of Office supplies for newly Officers/Staff reporting on duty; Buildings Maintenance; Application of Equipments; Complaints of Damages for Office Equipments; Processing of Payment of Cost of Living Allowances for Officers/Staff who are going abroad; Maintenance of all welfare, religious and sports activities. |
